Roots Afrika was the main choir performing "voices" at WOMEN'S WORLDS CONGRESS Uganda 2002 hosted by Makerere University.

Roots Afrika has presented skits to combat Child Labour and Abuse as an effort by Uganda Police for community awareness.

Roots Afrika is proud to have worked closely with British Council on culture exchange programmes e.g.
National Playwright Network (NPN) with Royal Court Theatre

Roots Afrika networks with other Organizations, Institutions and Authorities in heightening mutual objectives that target mass concerns through campaigns and demonstration for effective response from communities.

Through net working Roots Afrika has, together with Sharing Youth Center has convened youth since 1998 in the form of original song competition held every year on a given theme; aimed at positive behavioral change and life skills acquisition and also promoting their talent.

Roots Afrika networks with the department of Women and Gender Studies Makerere University in Uganda, to highlight gender related issues. In 2002 Woman and Gender Studies Department was the host for the 8th International congress for women, and Roots Africa undertook the task to design the entertainment package “women’s mural” a visual artistic representation of the women’s journey to a gendered world on the Theme “Gendered Worlds – gains and challenges”

Roots Afrika has established an alliance with schools in and rural settings, administering to students in the following:

- life skills
- talent promotion
- communication skills.

Roots Afrika facilitates workshops and seminars for Organizations that fight against HIV and AIDS these include:

- Aids Information Centre
- NACWOLA
- TASO
- NGEN+ who are coordinating the 11th International Conference for People Living with HIV AIDS, hosted by Uganda 26th – 30th October 2003. Roots Afrika is the sole organizer of the entertainment programme on the theme; THE DAWN OF NEW POSITIVE LEADERSHIP.
